Bauble and Hoop

Bold and gutsy rings to bring out the magnificence in the wearer

Bauble and Hoop is the creation of jewellery designer/maker Victoria Lovell, who will be exhibiting her jewellery at Studio Shards in Fulking on 23rd and 24th November 2018.

Victoria says ”My first big creative endeavour was becoming a potter. I am an apprenticed trained potter and have been a sculptor for last 25 years. About 10 years ago I took some evening classes in silver jewellery making and these continued for three years. My love affair with stones started in my childhood, I would collect stones and memorise their names, soon moving on to gemstones. And so I have a wide knowledge base for gemstones built up over the years that comes in very useful when I am choosing and setting stones.

At the beginning of last year I had made the decision to retire from my sculpting and try my hand at making rings. I want to make rings that are statement pieces, that make the wearer feel more confident and beautiful and that make someone walking by stop and stare. I make my rings on the large size especially for customers who use their hands every day.”

Victoria’s new range ‘Pieces of Earth and Sky’, which she launched on the 1st October, can be seen on her website www.baubleandhoop.co.uk, or follow her on Instagram www.instagram.com/baubleandhoop/

Studio Shards, Broadreeds, The Steet, Fulking, West Sussex BN5 9LU. Friday, 23rd November 5pm to 8pm & Saturday 24th November, 2018, 11am to 4pm.
