Art on the River
Mary Beaney, award winning artist and founder of Art on the River and co-founder of Chalk Gallery Lewes is, for the twentieth consecutive year, opening her house and studio to showcase her latest works. She has been diligently extending the theme of By-Gone Days. The paintings portray narrative secret undertones described as figurative abstraction using bold yet muted colours.
There will be lots to see and as a special treat Mary is offering a 20% discount on many of her pieces in celebration of 20 years of opening her house and studio as a friendly and welcoming exhibition space, as well as other surprises.
Exhibiting alongside Mary is wildlife photography by Adam Beaney – a truly creative photographer with the X factor inspired by nature. His natural talent and eye for composition captures that fleeting moment resulting in stunning imagery of life in the wild.
Why not make a day of it – real affordable quality Art at Haven Farm – culture at Pevensey Castle and refreshments in the newly opened Priory Court right opposite the castle.
